Punto Banco Standards
Baccarat chemin de fer is wagered on with eight decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are worth face value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Bets are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the total of the cards, however the 1st number is discarded. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a score of one (5 plus 6 = 11; ditch the 1st ‘one’).
A additional card might be dealt depending on the following rules:
- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or nine, the two players hold.
- If the player has five or less, he hits. Players otherwise stay.
- If the gambler holds, the house hits on five or less. If the player takes a card, a chart is used to determine if the house stands or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The better of the two hands wins. Winning wagers on the bank pay out 19:20 (even money minus a 5 percent rake. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you still have funds around before you quit). Winning bets on the gambler pays 1:1. Winning wagers for tie usually pays out at eight to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad wager as a tie occurs less than 1 in every ten rounds. Avoid gambling on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly greater for 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)
Gambled on correctly baccarat banque offers relatively decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Punto Banco Method
As with all games baccarat banque has quite a few general false impressions. One of which is close to a false impression in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of events about to happen. Recording previous outcomes at a table is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and almost certainly the most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This technique is deployed to build up earnings and minimizing risk.
Start by placing one unit. If you win, add another to the two on the game table for a total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will retain 6 on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you succeed on the 3rd bet, put down two to the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth round.
Should you do not win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by a hit on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Success on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd provides you with a profit of two. And success on the 1st three with a defeat on the 4th means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all four bets gives you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means you will be able to squander the second bet 5 instances for each favorable run of 4 rounds and still experience no loss.
