Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of 10 are counted at face value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they only represent the 2 hands to be given out).
2 hands of 2 cards will then be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for every hand shall be the total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven and five has a tally of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card could be played depending on the foll. protocols:
- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or nine, then both bettors stand.
- If the player has five or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart shall be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie typically pay out eight to 1 and on occasion 9 to one. (This is a bad bet as ties happen less than one every ten hands. Stay away from betting on a tie. Even so odds are significantly better – 9 to one versus eight to one)
When done accurately, baccarat provides generally decent odds, away from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common myths. 1 of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future results. Monitoring of past results on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most established and probably most successful strategy is the one-3-2-6 scheme. This process is employed to increase successes and lowering risk.
Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
