Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are of their printed value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they only act as the two hands to be given out).
2 hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand will be the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of 7 as well as five has a score of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be given out depending on the foll. regulations:
- If the player or banker has a score of eight or 9, the two gamblers stand.
- If the player has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart will be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have money remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie generally pays 8 to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is a crazy bet as ties will occur less than one every ten hands. abstain from wagering on a tie. Nonetheless odds are positively better – 9 to one vs. 8 to 1)
Played correctly, baccarat presents relatively good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not a predictor of future actions. Staying abreast of past conclusions on a chart is simply a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and almost certainly most successful method is the 1-3-2-six method. This scheme is employed to increase successes and cutting back risk.
start by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
